As a travel agent specializing in Disney Destination vacations, I can confidently say that the Disneyland Resort is not just about magical rides and enchanting parades—it’s also a food lover’s paradise! Whether you’re planning a day at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, there’s a culinary adventure waiting for you. Let’s explore the diverse dining options, from quick service to table service and delightful snacks, to ensure your visit is as delicious as it is magical.
Quick Service Dining: Fast, Fun, and Flavorful
Quick service dining is perfect if you want to maximize your time enjoying the parks while still indulging in tasty meals. These spots offer a variety of delicious options, served fast and fresh.
Check out some of my favourites below!
Disneyland Park:
- Plaza Inn: Known for its hearty breakfast with characters, Plaza Inn also serves up classic American dishes for lunch and dinner. The fried chicken here is a must-try!
- Tiana’s Palace: Offering delicious Southern meals inspired by Creole and Cajun cuisine! Step inside this restaurant to experience the elegance of the French Quarter.
Disney California Adventure Park:
- Flo’s V8 Café: Inspired by the Disney+Pixar movie Cars, this retro-style diner serves comfort food classics like roast beef and mac ‘n’ cheese, all with a view of Radiator Springs.
- Pym Test Kitchen: A must try at Avengers Campus, join Ant-Man and the Wasp for size-defying fare created with revolutionary shrink-and-grow technology.

Table Service Dining: Relax and Savour
For a more leisurely dining experience, table service restaurants provide the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal in a themed setting.
Disneyland Park:
- Blue Bayou Restaurant: Located within the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, this restaurant offers a unique ambiance of an evening in New Orleans. The Monte Cristo sandwich and jambalaya are fan favourites.
- Carnation Café: Step back in time at this charming Main Street, U.S.A. eatery, where you can savour Walt Disney’s favourite chili or a classic Mickey-shaped waffle for breakfast.
Disney California Adventure Park:
- Carthay Circle Restaurant: Inspired by the iconic theater where Walt Disney’s first animated feature premiered, this fine dining spot offers seasonal dishes with a focus on California cuisine. The signature biscuits and filet mignon are highly recommended.
- Lamplight Lounge: A favourite for a reason, take in the panoramic waterfront views of Pixar Pier while enjoying signature cocktails and tasty light far dishes.

Snacks: Magical Munchies
No visit to Disneyland Resort is complete without sampling some of the iconic snacks that have become almost as famous as the attractions themselves.
Disneyland Park:
- Dole Whip: This pineapple soft serve is a refreshing treat that can be found at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland.
- Mickey Beignets: Head to the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square for these powdered sugar-covered delights that are perfect for sharing.
Disney California Adventure Park:
- Churros: A staple snack, churro carts can be found throughout the park, offering a sweet cinnamon-sugar treat that’s perfect for munching on the go.
- Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums: Located near the Incredicoaster, these warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies are a must-try for any dessert lover.

Tips for Making the Most of Your Dining Experience
- Reservations: For table service restaurants, especially popular ones like Blue Bayou and Carthay Circle, make reservations up to 60 days in advance via the Disneyland app or website. (When you book your Disneyland vacation with me, I take care of these reservations for you!)
- Mobile Ordering: Save time at quick service locations by using the mobile ordering feature in the Disneyland app. Place your order, pay, and pick it up without waiting in line.
- Special Dietary Needs: Disneyland Resort offers a variety of options for guests with dietary restrictions. Simply ask to speak with a chef or look for menu items marked as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free.
From quick bites to leisurely meals and indulgent snacks, Disneyland Resort offers a culinary experience as magical as its attractions. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a delicious way to refuel during your adventure, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
